Ein Schneehuhn aus der Haide flog sachte zu mir hin, auf seinen leichten Schwingen mit seinem wilden Sinn. Die Hinde kam vom Berge herab zu mir, hierher, sie warf das Haupt das stolze und schaute rings umher. Wie frisch die Wangen blühen, wie sprüht das Aug' in Glanz, und in den Grübchen drinnen da lachet Spiel und Tanz. Ich sehe grüne Fluren und See und Berg und Hain und prächtige blaue Wolken das Signe, dir dank ich allein.
