Die hübscheste Dirn', die im Dorf man sieht, das ist jung Inga von Övrelid. Ihr Auge wie gleich dem himmlischen Zelt, wenn Sterngewimmel es rings erhellt! Die Burschen die ihre Schönheit sehn, um deren Frieden ist's bald geschehn, es schwillt ihr Herz und es singt ihr Mund von Träumen, goldig und selig bunt. Ein jedes Gefühl steht für sie in Brand, so wärmt wohl die Sonne des Hügels Wand. "Inga," so flüstert zur Nachtschlafenszeit der Bursch, dann träumt ihm, sie wäre nicht weit!
