Um die blütenvollen Äste Summen Bienchen, säuseln Weste; In der dichten Rosenlaube Girrt die sanfte Turteltaube, Und der Blüten Balsam duft Füllt die ganze Frühlingsluft. Seht, vom Zephyr angesäuselt, Seht, wie sich die Welle kräuselt! Zärtlich rauscht die Pappelweide, Und es tönt Gesang der Freude Von der kleinen Sänger Chor, Aus beblümtem Hain hervor. Möcht' ich unter diesen Linden, Möcht' ich doch Amanda finden! Tauscht' ich diesen Hain und Wiese Nicht mit einem Paradiese! Wäre doch Amanda hier, Glück und Freude ist sie mir.
