Bel ange aux traits pâlis à la démarche altière, Dont l'œil est triste et doux, oh dis-moi, quel es-tu ? Ton regard semble au ciel avoir pris sa lumière, Mais pourquoi cet air sombre et ce front abattu ? Mon enfant, l'on me nomme ici mélancolie, Mon pays est là-haut, et je suis exilé ; Va-t'en, car l'imprudent qui près de moi s'oublie, Au foyer paternel rapporte un cœur troublé !
