Der Frühling lacht, der Weiher glänzt, Ringsum von lust'gem Grün gekränzt: Doch zagend und voll Bangen Frau Sonne kommt gegangen, Sie neigt sich, schaut: Sprich, ist es wahr, Bin ich so schön als vorig Jahr? Die Welle zittert still vor Lust, Kein ander Wort hat sie gewußt; Sie blitzt mit funkelnden Blicken Und die Gräser am Rande, sie nicken: Ja, Sonne freundlich, Sonne klar, Bist tausendmal schöner als voriges Jahr.
