Traurig wandelt' ich im Walde, harmvoll auf den grünen Auen, pflückt' Vergissmeinnicht zum Strauße, rief in Tränen diese Worte: Nicht vergiss mein, du Geliebter, nicht vergiss mein, traute Seele! Freund, vergilt mir meine Liebe, nicht vergilt sie mit Geschenken! Nein, vergilt mit süßen Worten, an dein treues Herz mich drückend sprich: „Ich lieb' dich, traute Seele!“
