Die Lampe flackert trübe, ich schreite müde umher, und meine Gedanken schweifen weit über Land und Meer. Auf ferner, einsamer Insel weiß ich ein einsames Haus, umweht von klagenden Winden, umheult von Wellengebraus. Dort sitzt ein blondes Mädchen, ein Buch entsinkt ihrer Hand, und ihre Gedanken schweifen weit über Meer und Land.
