Life's balcony
Language: English
I’m looking from my balcony Upon the world below, And all along the busy street I see the people go; And some are full of weariness With heavy loads to bear, And some are sick and sorrowful But no one seems to care. While looking from my balcony The thought just came to me, If I could see as God sees, How diff’rent it would be; He looks beyond the suff’ring, The sorrow and the sin, He brings to light the loveliness, The health and joy within. I’m looking from my balcony Upon the world below, And all along the busy street I see God’s children go; I look from God’s own balcony, Around, below, above, The mists of earth have roll’d away And all is light and love.
