Now shines the sun on high
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Now shines the sun on high, In the blue summer sky, Beaming and bright; Birds in the waving trees, Chant their sweet melodies, Filled with delight. Plains now are deck'd with flow'rs, Forest with shady bow'rs, Meadows are green; Softly the zephyr's breath Blows o'er the shaggy heath, All is serene. Come to the woods away, There let us dance and play, Nature invites. Let no distressing care, Dark'ning our visage fair, Mar our delights.
