So still und mild der Tag
Language: German (Deutsch)
So still und mild der Tag, Und feierlich. Kein Blatt an Baum und Hag Beweget sich. Ein jedes Hälmchen ist Demantgeschmückt, Vom Himmelsstrahl geküßt, Und lichtbeglückt. Es schweiget Wald und Flur, Kein Vöglein singt; Vom fernen Dorfe nur Geläute klingt. Dort sucht man Gottes Spur Nach frommem Brauch; Hier feiert die Natur Den Sonntag auch. Du Wandersmann halt' still Zur Sonntagsruh'. Wenn Alles beten will, Bete auch du.
