Du lächelnde Dirne, du glückliche Maid, Ich blick' dir ins Antlitz, und das Herz wird mir weit; Deine Wange ist purpurn und goldig dein Haar, Und dein freundliches Aug' wie der Äther so klar. Und so froh ist dein Herz und so rein dein Gemüt; Du liebliche Rose, dass Gott dich behüt'! Dem Rehe gleich eilst du durch's schwellende Grün, Den Schmetterling haschen ist all' dein Bemüh'n; Du brichst die Cyane im wogenden Feld Und singst mit der Lerche: Wie schön ist die Welt!
