Kaum vermocht' ich sie zu grüßen; Wie verzaubert blieb ich stehn, Lang noch den beschwingten Füßen Im Enteilen nachzusehn. War's das Haar, das fein und golden Leicht sich kraust' um Stirn und Schlaf? War's ein Strahl aus diesen holden Blauen Augen, der mich traf? War's ihr Gang, der reizend schwebte? Dieser Mund, der schweigend sprach? Meine ganze Seele bebte, Und noch immer bebt sie nach.
