Kam ein Mägdlein her und sah Röslein an dem Wege, „Röslein, stehst so einsam da? „Sey getrost, ich komme ja, „Daß ich deiner pflege.” Armes, armes Röslein ach! Welk und matt am Wege. Mägdlein sprang im schnellen Lauf Zu der Quell' am Wege; Träuft' des Quellchens Thau darauf, Röslein that das Knöpfchen auf, Dankend holder Pflege. Rösein, schönes Röslein blüht Duftend nun am Wege.
