Θυμάσαι, Νίνα, τα χρόνια Όπου ήσουν η μόνη μου σκέψη; Πόσα σκιρτήματα, πόση οργή, πόση αγωνία, Ποτέ μια ώρα πραγματικής ευχαρίστησης! Ευτυχώς αυτό ο καιρός πάει, έφυγε. Τι κρίμα! Δεν έβλεπα παρά μόνο μέσα απ’ τα μάτια σου, Δεν είχα άλλο καλό παρά μόνο εσένα… Τι ανοησίες, τι γελοίες απολαύσεις, Ω! μα τώρα ξέρω να παίρνω αυτό που έρχεται· Δεν αδημονώ πια. Τι κρίμα! Είσαι όμορφη, παρ’ όλα αυτά είσαι πια γυναίκα, Κάποια ελαττώματα, τ’ αναγνωρίζω ακόμα και σε σένα, Όταν γελάς με κάποιον άλλο, Διασκεδάζω κι εγώ με κάποιαν άλλη, επίσης.
