Und unsrer Wünsche jähes Treiben
Zwingt uns in Schweigen.
Ein braunes Blatt dreht sich zu Boden.
Tot liegt ein Tag, und morgen wird ein neuer sterben,
Und wieder einer, wieder einer . . . .
Ein Frauentraum ist ausgesungen.

Et un autre encore, un autre encore...
Un rêve de femme finit son chant.
