Da blühen alle Zweige weiß,
Es blüht im Herzen wieder.

Für all die Frühlingstriebe.
Und blüht's thalaus, und blüht's thalein,
Da jubelt's rings auf Erden,

Così gentile e mite l'aria
è diventata in una sola notte;
il ghiaccio si spezza, la neve si scioglie,
e ogni luogo verdeggia.
Sulla cima secca degli alberi si culla leggero
un uccellino pieno di canti;
tutti i rami fioriscono di bianco,
rifiorisce anche dentro al cuore.
Il dolore si sfoga così dolce nel pianto
e l'amore esulta luminoso;
casa e cuore mi diventano troppo angusti
per tutti gli impulsi che la primavera suscita.
E fiorisce fuori e dentro la valle,
tutto sulla Terra esulta
come se, nello splendore della primavera, il mondo
dovesse diventare il Paradiso.
