Dell'aure serene l'aspetto turbar;
Ma s'oggi risplende azzurro il mio cielo,
Perchè rattristarmi d'un dubbio avvenir?
Io sono una pianta che ghiaccio non spoglia,
Che tutto disfida del verno il rigor;
Se fronda qui cade, là un'altra germoglia,
In ogni stagione son carca di fior.

La terre qui me donne une fleur, un fruit.
Partout où le destin m'indique un chemin,

Pourquoi je devrais penser au passé,
Si l'heure présente est joyeuse pour mon cœur ?
Il se peut que demain un voile de nuages
Trouble l'aspect serein de l'air ;
Mais aujourd'hui mon ciel bleu brille,
Pourquoi s'attrister d'un avenir incertain ?
Je suis une plante que le gel ne ravage pas,
Qui conteste toute la rigueur de l'hiver ;
Si une branche tombe, une autre pousse,
En toute saison je suis chargée de fleurs.
