Вечор, ты помнишь, вьюга злилась, На мутном небе мгла носилась; Луна, как бледное пятно, Сквозь тучи мрачные желтела, И ты печальная сидела - А нынче... погляди в окно: Под голубыми небесами Великолепными коврами, Блестя на солнце, снег лежит; Прозрачный лес один чернеет, И ель сквозь иней зеленеет, И речка подо льдом блестит. Вся комната янтарным блеском Озарена. Веселым треском Трещит затопленная печь. Приятно думать у лежанки. Но знаешь: не велеть ли в санки Кобылку бурую запречь? Pourtant tu dors encore, charmante amie -- Il est temps, ma beauté, de te réveiller : Ouvre tes yeux voluptueusement fermés À la rencontre de l'aurore boréale, Lève-toi comme une étoile du nord ! La nuit dernière, souviens-toi, une tempête de neige faisait rage. Dans le ciel sombre le brouillard flottait. La lune, comme une tache pâle, À travers les nuages jaunissait. Et tu étais assise tristement -- Et maintenant... regarde par la fenêtre ! Sous un ciel bleu Un tapis magnifique est étendu ; La neige brille au soleil. Transparente la forêt seule se détache en noir Et à travers le givre le sapin verdit ; Et sous la glace la rivière luit. Notre chambre est remplie de l'éclat de l'ambre Rayonnant.
