[V]. Biterolf und der Schmied von Ruhla
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
Thüringens Wälder senden
Den Weidmann und den Schmied,
Brauthuldigung zu spenden
Mit Gaben und mit Lied.
(zur Braut:)1
Vor hohem Frauenbilde
So tugendlicher Art
Singt Ruhlas Grobschmied milde:
"Jung Landgraf [werde]2 zart!"
(zum Erbgroßherzog:)1
Doch will's im Westen dämmern
Und streicht ein Feind den Bart,
Herr Major, dann wollen wir hämmern:
"Jung Landgraf, werdet hart!"

Les forêts de Thuringe envoient
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Les forêts de Thuringe envoient
Le chasseur et le forgeron
Pour porter l'hommage à la fiancée
Avec des dons et un chant.
(à la fiancée)
Devant une image d'une femme
D'une telle vertu
Le ruse forgeron de Ruhla chante doucement ;
« Jeune landgrave, deviens amoureux ! »
(à l'archiduc)
Mais si certain signes se lèvent à l'ouest
Et si l'ennemi frappe sa barbe,
Seigneur Major, alors nous le martèlerons :
« Jeune landgrave, arme-toi pour la bataille ! »
