Kyssens hopp
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Available translation(s): ENG FIN FRE
Se, hon kommer, se, se, den blyga fliekan kommer redan;

The hope of a kiss
Language: English  after the Swedish (Svenska)
While sitting and dreaming near a spring,
I heard a kiss upon my lips
Say quietly to another the following:
"Look, she's coming, look, look! The shy girl is coming already;
In a few moments I will be sitting
On her rosy lips.
And she will carry me faithfully all day,
Not daring to taste a single wild strawberry,
So as not to mix me with its juice,
Not daring to drink at the clear spring,
To avoid crushing me at the edge of the glass,
Not daring to murmur even a single word of love,
To avoid wafting me off those rosy lips."
