Das Fensterln

Flirting
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
I feel very angry with you, sweetheart dear, For ne'er at your window do you for me appear. I've stood 'neath that window many hours for you, I've oft lost my patience, the moon laughed thereto. That you do not love me, I should ne'er have believed. I'll to the Tyrol haste away, there I'll be kindly received. Seeking your true love affection stand I before your door; That you'll not let me kiss you, I cannot bear any more.
From the Meyer-Helmund score.
