Note provided by Johann Winkler: this is an arietta that Proch probably composed for a singer (Rita Gabussi) as an interlude in the opera "Le cantatrici villane" by Valentino Fioravanti to a libretto by Giuseppe Palomba. (Proch might have directed a performance of this opera).
