Dobrá rada

Žałovał sa pták ptákovi,
krahuleček jastřabovi.
Krahułečku, pěkný ptáčku,
nerob hnízda při chodníčku.
Že mu mładé vyhubili
a samičku połapili.
Rob hnízdečko při dolině,
při zelenéj bukovině.
Tam sedłáček nedojede,
tobě mładých nevybere.

Good Advice
Language: English  after the Moravian (Moravština)
One bird complained, one bird to another complained,
sparrowhawk to goshawk complained,
That his young ones had been destroyed,
and his dear soulmate abducted.
O sparrowhawk, you handsome bird,
do not build your nest by the road.
Go nest in the valley below,
in the green beech grove that you know.
The farmer will not come that way,
he’ll not take your young ones away.
