Die Minnesänger
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG FRE POR
Zu dem Wettgesange schreiten
Minnesänger jetzt herbei;
Ei, das gibt ein seltsam Streiten,
Ein gar seltsames Turnei!
Phantasie, die schäumend wilde,
Ist des Minnesängers Pferd,
Und die Kunst dient ihm zum Schilde,
Und das Wort, das ist sein Schwert.
Hübsche Damen schauen munter
Vom beteppichten Balkon,
Doch die rechte ist nicht drunter
Mit der rechten Lorbeerkron'.
Andre Leute, wenn sie springen
In die Schranken, sind gesund;
Doch wir Minnesänger bringen
Dort schon mit die Todeswund'.
Und wem dort am besten dringet
Liederblut aus Herzensgrund,
Der ist Sieger, der erringet
Bestes Lob aus schönstem Mund.
R. Schumann sets stanzas 1-4

Els trobadors
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Vers el concurs de cant
es dirigeixen ara els trobadors;
es tracta d’una insòlita contesa,
d’un torneig ben curiós!
La fantasia, escumant, vehement,
és el cavall del trobador,
i l’art li serveix d’escut,
i la paraula és la seva espasa.
Belles dames esguarden alegres
des dels balcons entapissats,
però l’escollida no és entre elles
amb l’autèntica corona de llorers.
Els altres, quan salten
a la palestra són ben sans,
però nosaltres, els trobadors,
ja hi entrem amb ferides mortals.
I aquell que, allà, sap treure millor
la sang del cant del fons del seu cor,
és el vencedor, el qui aconsegueix
les millors lloances dels llavis més formosos.
