Rezitativ
JESUS
Die mich zu fangen ausgezogen sind,
sie nahen nun.
Mein Vater! O führ' in schnellem Flug
der Leiden Stunden bei mir vorüber,
dass sie fliehn, rasch, wie die Wolken,
die ein Sturmwind treibt,
an deinen Himmeln ziehn.
Doch nicht mein Wille, nein,
dein Wille nur geschehe.
Chor
CHOR DER KRIEGER
Hier ist er, der Verbannte,
der sich im Volke kühn
der Juden König nannte;
ergreift und bindet ihn!
CHOR DER JÜNGER
Was soll der Lärm bedeuten?
Es ist um uns geschehn.
Umringt von rauhen Kriegern,
wie wird es uns ergeh'n?
Erbarmen, ach, Erbarmen!
Es ist um uns geschehn!
Wie wird es uns ergehn?

Récitatif
Jésus
Ceux qui sont sortis pour me chercher
s'approchent maintenant.
Mon Père ! Oh, fais que passent vite
mes heures de souffrance,
qu'elles volent comme les nuages
poussés par un vent de tempête,
vers ton ciel.
Mais ce n'est pas ma volonté, non,
mais la tienne qui sera faite.
Chœur
Chœur des soldats
Le voici, le proscrit,
qui hardiment se faisait
appeler le roi des Juifs ;
saisissez-le et liez-le !
Chœur des disciples
Que signifie ce bruit ?
C'en est fait de nous.
Des soldats nous encerclent,
Qu'allons-nous devenir ?
Ayez pitié, ah, ayez pitié !
C'en est fait de nous.
Qu'allons-nous devenir ?
