O Jesu Christ, wir warten dein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
O Jesu Christ, wir warten dein,
dein heiliges Wort leucht uns so fein.

Oh Jesus Christ, we attend Thee
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Oh Jesus Christ, we attend Thee,
Thy holy Word shines so fairly upon us.
At the end of the world, do not tarry long in appearing
And lead us into Thy Father’s house.
Thou art the beloved, clear sun,
Whosoever shall believe in Thee is truly
A child of the eternal beatitude
That is prepared for Thy Christians.
We thank Thee, we praise Thee
Here in time and there eternally
For Thy greet mercy
From now until eternity.
