Heart's Ease
Language: English
Available translation(s): ITA
Sing care away, with sport and play,
For pastime is our pleasure;
If well we fare, for nought we care,
In mirth consists our treasure.
Let stupids lurk and drudges work,
We do defy their slav'ry;
He is a fool, that goes to school,
All we delight in brav'ry.
What doth avail far hence to sail,
And lead our life in toiling?
Or to what end should we here spend,
Our days in irksome moiling?
It is the best to live at rest,
And tak't as God doth send it,
To haunt each wake and mirth to make,
And with good fellows spend it.

Agio del cuore
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the English
Allontanate i pensieri col canto
perché il gioco è il nostro piacere;
se mangiamo bene, non preoccupiamoci di nulla,
il nostro tesoro è l'amore.
Lasciamo che gli stupidi marciscano in casa e che gli sgobboni lavorino,
noi sfidiamo la loro schiavitù;
chi va a scuola è un cretino,
noi ci divertiamo e ce ne vantiamo.
A che serve viaggiare lontano
e vivere la vita faticando?
O per quale fine dovremmo spendere
i nostri giorni in tediose sfacchinate?
La cosa migliore è vivere riposando
e prenderla come il cielo la manda,
andare a tutte le feste, fare all'amore
e spassarsela con gli amici.
