Geheiligt werde dein Name
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG ENG
Die Sterne tönen ewig hohe Weisen im Wunderklang;
Doch mag der Leib im Staube auch verwehen, die Seele lebt;
In Ewigkeit darf deiner Herrlichkeit,

Hallowed be Thy name
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
The stars above us are forever singing a wondrous song:
A wondrous song and highest psalms of joy
My soul would also join them to sing Thy praises.
When like Thy flowers fair my soul would blossom then on that day,
Then on that day, with lightest pinions gay
Flies she to live within Thy glory.
Although the flesh again to dust is scattered, the soul doth live,
The soul doth live, while in Thy spirit's light,
While close to Thee standing, can she ne'er be shattered.
On high from star to star behold her flying, eternally,
Eternally there in Thy majesty,
There Thy wondrous praise forever singing.
