Abends schweben blutige Linnen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE ITA
Abends schweben blutige Linnen,
Wolken über stummen Wäldern,
Die gehüllt in schwarze Linnen.
Spatzen lärmen auf den Feldern.
Und sie liegt ganz weiß im Dunkel.
Unterm Dach verhaucht ein Girren.
Wie ein Aas in Busch und Dunkel
Fliegen ihren Mund umschwirren.
Traumhaft klingt im braunen Weiler
Nach ein Klang von Tanz und Geigen,
Schwebt ihr Antlitz durch den Weiler,
Weht ihr Haar in kahlen Zweigen.

A sera come insanguinati panni
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
A sera come insanguinati panni,
posano le nuvole sui boschi silenziosi,
che sembrano ammantati in neri panni.
Sui campi volano passeri chiassosi.
Lei giace tutta pallida nell'ombra.
E' più lieve il tubare sotto i tetti.
Come su una carogna, in un cespuglio all'ombra,
Attorno alla sua bocca volano gli insetti.
E, come in sogno, nel nero villaggio,
Ancora echeggia un suono di danza e di violini,
Erra il suo viso intorno al villaggio,
s'agita la sua chioma come nudi rami.
