Tutto armonia è il volo degli uccelli. I verdi boschi si stringono a sera attorno a più quiete capanne; come cristallo i pascoli del capriolo. Al buio è più dolce il mormorio del ruscello, le umide ombre, I fiori estivi che lievi risuonano al vento. Già scende il crepuscolo sul volto dell'uomo pensoso. Un piccolo lume risplende, bontà, nel suo cuore. È pace la cena; benedetto il pane e il vino dalle mani di Dio, e quieto, con occhi di sonno, ti guarda il fratello, per trovare riposo dal cammino di spine. Oh, l'abitare nella Notte animata d'azzurro! Anche il silenzio, in casa, accoglie amoroso le ombre dei vecchi, Tormenti purpurei, lamento di innumerevoli generazioni, che ora piamente trapassa nel solitario nipote.
