Falschheit
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG
Es herrschet in der Welt die Falschheit aller Orten;
die Wahrheit ist verbannt, die Redlichkeit verjagt;

Falsehood
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Falsehood prevails in all parts of the world;
truth is banished, probity driven out;
the friends of this time are friends merely in words:
the most honest does differently than he says.
So, he will caress and kiss you,
so long as he believes your fall will be profitable to him.
Nobody is as they seem: people know how to adjust,
the appearance of others doesn't agree with their nature.
But all this must one not say of women,
because almost none of them has ever deceived us,
for on the outside they all seem malicious:
and if one examines this, then they are indeed so.
