Frühlingslied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG
Frühling, Frühling ist es wieder!
Knospen treiben Busch und Baum.
Veilchen sprießt, es blüht der Flieder
An des flinken Bächleins Saum.
Frühling, Frühling ist es wieder!
Jubelt's rings mit sel'gem Schall.
Frühling! schmettern eure Lieder,
Lerche, Fink und Nachtigall.
Frühling, Frühling ist es wieder!
Tönt's lobsingend himmelwärts,
Und die Liebe schwebt hernieder
Ins beglückte Menschenherz.
Confirmed with Die Gartenlaube, XXXIV. Band (1886), Nr. 19, page 325.

Spring song
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
It is spring once more, spring!
Buds are bursting forth upon bush and tree.
Violets are springing up, the lilac is blooming
Along the edge of the swiftly flowing brooklet.
It is spring once more, spring!
All around, the blissful sound rings out with rejoicing.
Lark, finch, and nightingale,
Your sounds call out: Spring!
It is spring once more, spring!
In praise it sounds heavenwards,
And Love wafts down
Into the delighted hearts of mankind.
