Der Wein der Liebenden
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the French (Français)
Available translation(s): ENG ITA
Prächtig ist heute die weite ·
Stränge und sporen beiseite ·
Reiten wir auf dem wein
In den feeenhimmel hinein!
Engel für ewige dauer
Leidend im fieberschauer ·
Durch des morgens blauen kristall
Fort in das leuchtende all!
Wir lehnen uns weich auf den flügel
Des windes der eilt ohne zügel.
Beide voll gleicher lust
Lass schwester uns brust an brust
Fliehn ohne rast und stand
In meiner träume land!
Confirmed with Stefan George, Die Blumen des Bösen, a translation of Charles Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal, Berlin, Bondi, 1901, page 151.

Il vino degli amanti
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Appare così splendido, oggi, lo spazio
di sproni e briglie potremo fare a meno:
ci solleviamo a cavallo del vino
in alto verso un cielo che sembra fatato!
Come angeli che, senza aver mai fine,
tormenta un lungo brivido di febbre
attraverso il cristallo azzurro dei mattini
via nell'universo che tutto splende!
Noi ci appoggiamo lievi sulle ali
del vento che soffia senza freni
entrambi spinti dallo stesso piacere
Sorella mia, fianco a fianco fuggire
è bello, senza sosta o riposo,
verso il paese che accarezzo in sogno!
