Des Waldes Sänger wachen Von ihren Träumen auf; Die Lerchen steigen jubelnd Ins Goldgewölk hinauf; Ei willkommen, ei willkommen, du junger Tag, Machst in mir auch die Hoffnung der Zukunft wach! Gar viele zieh'n vorüber Und mancher Klügling lacht; Sie können's nicht begreifen, Was mich so glücklich macht; Ei so lacht nur, ei so lacht nur, ihr könnt nicht versteh'n, Was für Träum' in dem liebenden Herzen sich drehn!
