Das eilende Bächlein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT
Bächlein, Bächlein, wie du eilen kannst,
Rasch, geschäftig ohne Rast und Ruh'!
Wie du Steinchen mit dir nimmst -
Schau' dir gerne zu!
Doch das Bächlein spricht zu mir:
"Siehst du, liebes Kind,
Wie die Welle eilt und rast
Und vorüberrinnt?"
"Jeder Tropfen ist ein Tag,
Jede Welle gleicht dem Jahr -
Und du, - du stehst am Ufer nur,
sagst dir still: es war."

L'apressat rierol
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Rierol, rierol, com pots corre de pressa,
veloç, trafegut, sense pausa ni descans!
M'agrada mirar
com t'emportes les pedretes.
Però el rierol em parla i diu:
"Veus tu, estimat infant,
com l'onada s'apressa, s'atura
i passa de llarg?"
"Cada gota és un dia,
cada onada és igual a un any,
i tu, dret a la riba, sols
et dius fluixet a tu mateix: això era."
