In un bosco oscuro e solitario l'altro giorno stavo a passeggiare: un bambino riposava all'ombra, era il temibile Amore. Mi faccio vicino, la sua bellezza mi attira, ma avrei dovuto diffidare, perché vi ravvisai i tratti di un'ingrata che avevo giurato di dimenticare. Aveva la bocca d'un rosso vermiglio, e come il suo era fresco il colorito, un sospiro mi sfugge, lui si desta; per un nonnulla Amore viene destato. E tosto dispiegando le sue ali, e agguantando il suo arco vendicatore, va via e, con una freccia crudele, mi ferisce dritto nel cuore. Vai!
