Psalmus David.] 2 Cœli enarrant gloriam Dei, et opera manuum ejus annuntiat firmamentum. 3 Dies diei eructat verbum, et nox nocti indicat scientiam. 4 Non sunt loquelæ, neque sermones, quorum non audiantur voces eorum. 5 In omnem terram exivit sonus eorum, et in fines orbis terræ verba eorum. 6 In sole posuit tabernaculum suum; et ipse tamquam sponsus procedens de thalamo suo. Exsultavit ut gigas ad currendam viam; 7 a summo cælo egressio ejus. Et occursus ejus usque ad summum ejus; nec est qui se abscondat a calore ejus. 8 Lex Domini immaculata, convertens animas; testimonium Domini fidele, sapientiam præstans parvulis. 9 Justitiæ Domini rectæ, lætificantes corda; præceptum Domini lucidum, illuminans oculos. 10 Timor Domini sanctus, permanens in sæculum sæculi; judicia Domini vera, justificata in semetipsa, 11 desiderabilia super aurum et lapidem pretiosum multum, et dulciora super mel et favum. 12 Etenim servus tuus custodit ea; in custodiendis illis retributio multa. 13 Delicta quis intelligit? ab occultis meis munda me; 14 et ab alienis parce servo tuo. Si mei non fuerint dominati, tunc immaculatus ero, et emundabor a delicto maximo. 15 Et erunt ut complaceant eloquia oris mei, et meditatio cordis mei in conspectu tuo semper. 1 [Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen.] 2 Die Himmel erzählen die Ehre Gottes, und die Feste verkündiget seiner Hände Werk. 3 Ein Tag sagt's dem andern, und eine Nacht tut's kund der andern. 4 Es ist keine Sprache noch Rede, da man nicht ihre Stimme höre. 5 Ihre Schnur gehet aus in alle Lande und ihre Rede an der Welt Ende; 6 er hat der Sonne eine Hütte in denselben gemacht. Und dieselbe gehet heraus, wie ein Bräutigam aus seiner Kammer, und freuet sich wie ein Held, zu laufen den Weg. 7 Sie gehet auf an einem Ende des Himmels und läuft um bis wieder an dasselbe Ende; und bleibt nichts vor ihrer Hitze verborgen. 8 Das Gesetz des Herrn ist ohne Wandel und erquicket die Seele. Das Zeugnis des Herrn ist gewiß und macht die Albernen weise. 9 Die Befehle des Herrn sind richtig und erfreuen das Herz. Die Gebote des Herrn sind lauter und erleuchten die Augen. 10 Die Furcht des Herrn ist rein und bleibt ewiglich. Die Rechte des Herrn sind wahrhaftig, allesamt gerecht. 11 [Sie sind köstlicher denn Gold und viel feines Gold; sie sind süßer denn Honig und Honigseim. 12 Auch wird dein Knecht durch sie erinnert; und wer sie hält, der hat großen Lohn. 13 Wer kann merken, wie oft er fehlet? Verzeihe mir die verborgenen Fehle! 14 Bewahre auch deinen Knecht vor den Stolzen, daß sie nicht über mich herrschen; so werde ich ohne Wandel sein und unschuldig bleiben großer Missetat. 15 Laß dir wohlgefallen die Rede meines Mundes und das Gespräch meines Herzens vor dir, Herr, mein Hort und mein Erlöser! ]1
