Flors excelses empal·lideixen o es trenquen, empal·lideix i es trenca el mirall de les aigües i jo ensopego en l'herba que es marceix; les palmeres fiblen amb llurs punxes. Fulles marcides que xiulen en barbull persegueixen mans invisibles a batzegades, a fora, al voltant dels pàl·lids murs de l'Edèn. La nit és ennuvolada i xafogosa.
